On 29th November the Fierce team attended the Creative City Awards. We had been shortlisted for two awards Outstanding Market Development Award for “MyFierceFestival” and Creative Industries Award which deservedly went to our friends at Stans Café.
Here is the video of Helga’s acceptance speech for the Outstanding Market Development Award courtesy of Pete Ashton:
“As winners of the Outstanding Business Development Award, Fierce Earth is delighted to be acknowledged for its ground breaking initiative “MyFierceFestival”. It was the festival strand that was curated online by members of the public. We strive to be at the cutting edge of festival development and as this was a world first, we like to think that it is a piece of market development that puts Birmingham on the map. And that’s what the Creative City Awards are about, for us, celebrating the best of Birmingham’s creative talent and giving the city a chance to boast about the many great things that it does in the cultural and creative sector. All the shortlisted and winning entrants have that in common – they are among this great pool of talent we have in the city and the region.”
This is great news for Fierce! and the second time we received an award at the Creative City Awards (in 2007 we won Best Brand) and thanks for a lovely evening! Anna Blackaby from the Birmingham Post covered the event!
Thanks again to all those who help make it happen and of course all those who helped us win this years award for loudest (sexiest/best-looking) entourage!
